Managing Template Variants

In addition to managing base email templates, Administrators can also manage template variants.

Administrators can create and edit template variants to set Users up with different variants of the base email templates with customized starter copy, images, etc.

This feature is available for users with the Administrator role.

Template Variants Manager

Click on the User Options menu in the top right of the Radiate screen and select Manage Templates from the dropdown menu.

On the Manage Templates page, click a template variant to see a preview to the right.

Hover over a template variant to reveal quick action buttons. Easily access key actions like edit, duplicate, and archive.


Edit Template Variants

To edit a template variant, double-click on a variant or click the pencil Edit icon.

This will bring you to the edit page. Make any changes to the Variant Name, Subject Line, Marketing Strategy, or Content.

Display or hide certain modules by using the Display toggle.

Lock down the content of certain modules by clicking on the lock icon. This will prevent users from editing the content of those modules. Admins can override locked content when editing a campaign. If you would like to be able to lock down content, please reach out to your Sageflo Account Manager.

Edit Template Variants

Click into editable sections in the campaign to bring up the formatting toolbar.

Formatting toolbars are customized for every account, so you may not see all the options below. If you would like more formatting options, reach out to your Sageflo account manager.

Click the Insert Placeholder icon to add text users should update before sending. Placeholder text is in brackets and highlighted in green.


Then, click Save.

You can also choose to Publish or Unpublish the template here.


Copy Template Variants

Select a template variant and click the blue Copy button.

This will create a duplicate template variant. Make any edits to the Variant Name, Subject Line, and content. Then, click Save. You can also choose to Publish the new template variant.


Create a Template Variant From an Existing Campaign

On the Campaigns page, turn an existing campaign into a template variant, by clicking on the kebab menu next to a campaign and selecting Save as Template.


Archive Template Variants

Select a template variant and click the Archive or trash can icon.

Use the "Hide Archived" toggle to view the list with or without archived variants included.

Publish or Unpublish Template Variants

You can Publish or Unpublish template variants by using the Active toggle to the right of the template variant name.

A campaign is currently Unpublished if the Active toggle is grey.

A campaign is currently Published if the Active toggle is blue.

Reorder Template Variants

The order that the template variants are in reflects the order that the variants are displayed in the Create New Campaign dropdown menu.

Click the four horizontal lines icon to the left of the template variamt name. Hold and drag the template variant to the desired spot.
