Managing Base Templates

In addition to managing template variants, administrators can also manage base email templates in Radiate.

Note that email templates are built and stored within your ESP. The Radiate template manager allows Administrators to select which templates to make available within Radiate and in what order to display them.

This feature is available for users with the Administrator role.

Manage Base Templates

Click on the User Options menu in the top right of the Radiate screen and select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.

From the Account Settings page, click on the Templates tab. Here you will see the base templates.

Adding and Editing Base Templates

All NEW template requests should come through the Sageflo team. Similarly requests to edit existing templates should come through the Sageflo team.

This is because each template requires significant custom tagging for editable sections to work properly between Radiate and your ESP.

Editing Template Settings

On the Templates tab, double-click on the row or click on the pen icon next to each template to open the Edit Template popup window.

The following template settings can be edited:

  • Name: This is the template name that displays in the Create New Campaign dropdown.
  • Description: This is for Radiate administrative use only and can be used to indicate the template type and use case.
  • Template ID or File Path: Depending on your ESP, this is the ID or file path that maps the template to your ESP.
    • Unless requested by the Sageflo team, this section should not be edited.
  • Display Order: This is in reference to the order the template is displayed in the Create New Campaign dropdown for users.
    • The template with the lowest number will appear first in the list.
    • It is good practice to put numbers in multiples of 5 or 10 in case you want to add new templates in the feature and have them display in between two existing templates.
  • Enabled: Select "Yes" to make the template available for Users and "No" to remove it from the Create New Campaign list of options.
    • Disabling the template will not affect any campaigns that have already been scheduled.

Limiting Templates to Specific Groups or Users

In the Edit Template popup window, admins can limit a base template to be visible to specific Groups or Users.
